OK, I am not an expert blogger, but here goes.. OSGrid is a great new way for people to virtually gather. Primarily intended as a test grid for the OpenSimulator developers it has grown steadily in size, today there is over 700 regions connected and over 700 people visit the grid in a month. The great thing about OSGrid is the current lack of any ‘TOS’. The users of the grid only need to abide by the ‘One Rule’, that is ‘Have Fun, without affecting the fun of others!’..pretty simple stuff, and in my view the basis of a Utopian society of adult individuals. Well..Adults being adults, some conflict of opinion is to be expected, and that is where the Lbsa site comes in. Currently OSGrid has two avenues of discussion, #osgrid IRC chan. on freenode and also the forums on the OSGrid homepage. Both of these forums are directly administrated by the OSGrid staff and owners. It is the view of the admin staff that discussions in these two places is best kept at a technical level, OSGrid after all is primarily for testing and improving the software that forms the grids. So, what about discussion of the social implications of these new emerging grids. What about all those burning questions that you just know are going to cause untold drama, upset people, start riots and generally rock the apple-cart. Well here it is. Anonymous users are able to post comments to the blogs and forum threads, but if you wish to start a blog, or open new topics within the forums, you will need to register for an account. All the email addresses will be treated with utmost care and not given to any unscrupulous entities, but we recommend you choose a password that you do not use elsewhere.
